Privacy Act


Any information received about an employee of the diocese by the employer must be held by the employer on the employee’s files for the employee to be able to assess and correct under the Privacy Act 1993.

It is also important for those people who work on behalf of the diocese whether it be at the diocesan level or parish level that information received must not contradict nor be inconsistent with the Privacy Act 1993.

Any request for copies of records need to be made in writing.

The Diocesan General Manager is the Privacy Officer for the Diocese.
