DESCRIPTION

Joshua is a Catholic men’s fellowship open to all men. It has a charismatic spirituality

Joshua was founded in Auckland in 1986

FUNCTION

1. To give glory and honour to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, particularly through praise and worship.

2. To provide an environment where men can respond to what the Lord is calling them to.

3. To teach from scripture and to educate men in the basic understanding of the Catholic Faith.

4. To allow the Lord to heal men in all areas of need.

5. To encourage men to enter deeper into the sacramental life of the Church

6. To assist in the formation of men as evangelisers, teachers and ministers of the Lord.

7. To encourage the use of the charismatic gifts in accordance with Scripture and Vatican 11 Doc. Laity 3, so that men may learn     the ways of the Holy Spirit.

8. To support and assist where possible, other groups in the Church, particularly Dove Fellowship.

9. To facilitate and host annual retreat weekends for Catholic men.
